Tree plantation activity at St Joseph School

Location : St Joseph School

Lions Club of Dabolim members along with the Leos and teachers of the St Joseph School organized a tree plantation activity. A total 130 shade and fruit bearing saplings in and around the school premises were planted as a mark to save the environment and celebrate Vanamahotsava.

Installation of the Leo club of St Joseph School Nagao by Multiple Leo Chairperson MJF Lion Ularico Rodrigues

Location : The Leo club of St Joseph School Nagao

On the 12th of July, the Leo club of St Joseph School Nagao was installed by Multiple Leo Chairperson MJF Lion Ularico Rodrigues. A total of 37 new students were inducted and the new board under the leadership of Leo Isha Nadge was installed. Our Club members organized and was present at the function.

6th Installation Ceremony of Board of directors

Date : July 16, 2018

On the 16th of July Lions Club of Dabolim had its 6th Installation Ceremony of Board of directors under the able leadership of MJF Lion Rajnish Heda.
1st Vice District Governor MJF Lion K Sasindran Nair was the Installing and Induction officer. Rotarian Dilip Salgaocar was the Chief Guest for the evening. The Club Also inducted 2 new members on the same day. The function was well attended by PDGs, District officials and other dignitaries from Various Clubs from Goa.

5th Annual Inter School Elocution Competition

Date : July 21, 2018
Location: Regina Mundi School

Lions Club of Dabolim organized its 5th Annual Inter School Elocution Competition on the 21st of July at the Regina Mundi School to encourage our youth to public speaking and skill development. We had about 50 students from 25 schools around the Mormugao Taluka that participated. Mrs. Deepali Basu Senior Teacher was the Chief Guest while Dr. Rita Sequera ( ENT Doctor) was the Guest of Honor. Region Chairperson Lion Amol Kamat also witnessed the function. The 3 judges were Lion & JC Ranu Keny, JC. Anant Prabhu and JC Avin Naik. Ms. Priyanka Negi- St Andrew Institute won the 3rd Place, Ms.Goongoon A Ghate – St Joseph Institute won the 2nd place while Ms. Anjali Naik – Keshav Smruti won the 1st Place. The rolling trophy was also won by Keshav Smruti School for securing the highest Aggregate marks of both participants. All participants were awarded certificates in the hands of the Lion members. The competition was well attended by teachers, parents, students and guests.

Conducted a Vedic Mathematics workshop for the students and teachers of Bharti Vidhya Bhavans Narayan Bandekar School.

Lions Club of Dabolim conducted a Vedic Mathematics workshop for the students and teachers of Bharti Vidhya Bhavans Narayan Bandekar School with the assistance of MJF Lion Sagar Sacordekar DC for Vedic Mathematics. Around 70 students took the benefit of this training and the students were happy to learn this method of calculations.

Regular lunch to inmates of the old age home, Bogmalo

Location : Old age home, Bogmalo

Lions Club of Dabolim provides regular lunch to the inmates of the old age home in Bogmalo. We serve around 65 people per lunch. Our members join in prayer and than serve lunch to the inmates.

The Re-usable Cloth Bank at Baina

Location : Baina

Club has a permanent project “The Re usable Cloth Bank” at Baina which is open every Wednesday from 4 to 6pm. Club members segregate and distribute cloths to the needy from the locality.

Children’s clothes from Cloth bank sent to Lions Club of Hubli Pearls

Location: Lions Club of Hubli Pearls

Through our Permanent Project we were contacted by Lions Club of Hubli Pearls for the need for Cloths for children for an orphanage in Hubli. Our members segregated and packed Children’s clothes from the Cloth bank and carried the same to Belagavi.

Tree plantation at Valpoi

Lions Club of Dabolim had its Tree plantation on the 4th August 2018 at Valpoi and planted 280 fruit and shade bearing saplings. The activity was well attended by Club lion member. RDC for Environment Lion Joseph D Costa was part of the tree plantation activity.

Donation of wheelchair to an underprivileged resident of Dabolim

Location : Dabolim

The Club donated a wheelchair to an underprivileged resident of Dabolim. The patient Mr. Suresh Naik had suffered a paralytic stroke.

Lions Club of Dabolim members Celebrated Independence day at the Club adopted Govt. School in Dabolim.

Lions Club of Dabolim members Celebrated Independence day at the Club adopted Govt. School in Dabolim. Club President MJF Lion Rajnish Heda had the privilege to hoist the National Flag. Later the students of the school performed Patriotic Songs and dances., Many of them also spoke on our Great leaders who helped the country to get Independence.

Lions Club of Dabolim: The first Club in District 317B to contribute to the Flood affected people, Kerala.

Lions Club of Dabolim was amongst the first Club in District 317B to contribute towards the assistance required to the Flood affected people. The Club members contributed towards the purchase of Towels, Detergents, Antiseptic soaps, toothpaste and other re-usable clothes. The goods were packed and handed over to two organizations:
1. Kerala Sangamam Zuarinagar
2. Kerala Sangamam Margao who further transported it to Kerala.

Location : Old age home, Bogmalo

Lions Club of Dabolim provides regular lunch to the inmates of the old age home in Bogmalo. We serve around 65 people per lunch. Our members join in prayer and than serve lunch to the inmates.

Thank you for setting & running a very innovative Creche/playschool during 2014-15 for the small children( age group 3 to 11 years) of construction workers at the residential colony construction project site of NKG Infrastructure at Varunapuri near Dabolim Airport
